SrokYeung

What is SrokYeung?
SrokYeung is a Web3 based-agritourism solution which will utilize the latest technology in order to connect tourists to farmers, promote the local tourism spots, find markets for the farmers, promote the regional tourism spots, and protect the original products made by the locals.

Problem
Cambodia’s tourism industry has experienced rapid growth in recent years. However, agritourism, which involves connecting tourists with agriculture by bringing them to farms to experience rural and community settings, has remained stagnant and unpopular. This is due to the absence of an existing application that offers travelers and tourists information about agritourism and links them to farmers. As a result, farmers or people who live in rural areas have lost a significant source of revenue. In addition, we have observed that people highly value and appreciate products made by local communities but hesitate to buy them because they are unsure about the origin of those products. This is because there is no existing trustworthy market that convinces them that those agricultural products are really from local farmers, not imported ones.

Solution
To solve the aforementioned problems, we aimed to create a mobile applicationSolution
To solve the aforementioned that is powered by cutting-edge technology (Blockchain) and the new business model which is Web3. The application that we are developing right now to solve the problem is multifunctional in the sense that it offers not only useful functions for tourists who are looking for attractive agritourism sites in Cambodia but also a trustable e-market where

tourists can buy the local agricultural products. Therefore, with our application, another pressing issue, which is the complaint of the
farmers regarding the lack of market and a falling price of their agricultural products, is also resolved, as we have transformed those tourists or travelers into potential customers for the farmers.

Vision
Our goal is to establish a platform that connects tourists with agritourism sites, allowing them to explore and support local farmers. Additionally, we aim to create a virtual alternative marketplace for local farmers to directly sell their products to customers who support locally sourced products.
