The Faculty of Digital Economy at the National University of Management was established under the initiative of H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, Minister of Education, Youth and Sport. The establishment of the faculty comes at an important time as the Royal Government of Cambodia implements the Cambodia Digital Economy and Society Policy Framework 2021–2035, which aims to build a vibrant digital economy and society.
This national strategy focuses on promoting digital adoption and transformation across all sectors, including government institutions, businesses, and citizens, in order to drive new economic growth and improve social welfare in the new normal era.
The global COVID-19 pandemic further accelerated the demand for digital technologies. As economies and industries rapidly adopted digital solutions, the need for digital skills became more critical than ever. In this context, the Faculty of Digital Economy plays an important role in preparing the next generation of professionals with the knowledge and skills required in the digital era.
The faculty offers international English-based programs taught by experienced national and international professors as well as experts from the university’s global partner network. The programs include:

Financial Technology (FinTech)
Smart City Planning and Management
These programs support Cambodia’s digital transformation and contribute to the development of human capital for Industry 4.0. They are designed to align with regional and global trends while preparing students to address real-world socio-economic challenges.
Graduates of the Faculty of Digital Economy are equipped with digital knowledge, technological skills, and innovative thinking to solve complex problems in modern society. In addition to academic learning, the faculty emphasizes practical experience through internships, industry collaboration, and field trips to help students connect classroom knowledge with real-world applications.
